INDOMIE

Yum

It would be a crime to have Indonesian recipe blog and not include this specific dish! It's beloved nationwide!

When I was younger, I had kind of a love/hate relationship with Indomie. Sometimes when I eat them, my tonsils would get inflamed and I would have sore throat for at least a week. I think the packaged seasoning has some ingredients that does not go well with my throat.. Nevertheless, I love them! And it does not happen anymore, so ...
Sometimes, I would even just eat the seasoning without the noodles. When my Mam makes rice porridge, I ask her if I could use the seasoning from Indomie and sprinkle them on my porridge :)

This is my fancy way of making Indomie. Add a little bit of this and that and of course you also eat them with rice :) Usually if I have them around, I also add some pakchoi (chinese cabbage) for some extra vegetable. My Mam always says, "If you want to eat Indomie, you also have to eat vegetables with it!"
